I am always in search of easy and quick recipes, this super cool recipe from Tip Hero became my instant favorite as soon as I tried it for the very first time. This is one of those easy-breezy undemanding type of desserts that you can make in just 15 minutes or less. Not only this is super smooth, wobbly and delish but it will make you win so many hearts in seconds. It’s irresistible property will make people refill their bowl or take another shot of this light yet toothsome sweet dish right away. The only tough part is the wait to let it set apart from that this is such a super-duper hit recipe with a chic name 😉
The strawberry coulis on top of it is a perfect combination to the custard. It is a treat to your taste buds when consumed together in a bite. The sweet smooth texture of panna cotta blends perfectly with tangy pungent flavor of strawberries hence the Fusion Explosion in your mouth resulting in craving for more.
Ideal to serve as a second course when your first course consists of too many heavy items. Sharing the recipe below:
Vanilla Panna Cotta
About Panna Cotta: It is a very basic pudding that is made of dairy thickened with gelatin. It originated in Italy and its name literally means “cooked cream,” since the earliest versions were made of thick cream, sometimes thickened with fish bones. It was invented by a Hungarian woman in the Langhe in the early 1900s but the name Panna Cotta is not mentioned in Italian cookbooks before the 1960s.

GET:
Cooking spoon
Saucepan
A cup
tea spoon
SET:
Whole Milk 1-1/2 cups
Powdered gelatin 3 tsp
Sugar 1/3 cup
Whipping Cream/ Heavy Cream 1-1/2 cups
Salt 1/8 tsp
Vanilla Essence 1 tsp
GO:
Pour the milk into a saucepan. Sprinkle the powdered gelatin evenly on it and allow to bloom for about 5 minutes, until the surface of the milk looks wrinkled.
Gently heat the milk over medium-low heat to dissolve the gelatin, stirring frequently. The milk should get hot but never boil or simmer. Remove from heat at the first sign of steam. Dip a spoon into the milk to see if any granules of gelatin remain before proceeding.
Add the sugar and stir to dissolve on low heat.
Remove from the heat and whisk in the heavy cream, vanilla extract and salt. Allow the mixture to cool to room temperature.
Pour the cooled panna cotta mixture in moulds or serving dish and put in refrigerator for about 4-6 hours allowing it to set completely before serving.

MY TWO CENTS:
You can serve the panna cotta with Jelly if you like but it tastes better with coulis.
Do not pour hot coulis over the dessert or it will melt the panna cotta.
Follow the instructions closely to get the perfect texture and taste.
Adjust the sweetness according to your taste but the above mentioned quantities are just perfect.
Hope you’ll enjoy trying it out.
