I wasn’t in the mood to make dinner, but I had no choice so I went for the easiest, quickest option I could make. A fast and delicious Chicken Jalfrezi recipe that comes together in no time. Easy Beef Tikka Doner Kebab Recipe (Viral Turkish-Style Kebab)
I’m usually not someone who jumps on every trending or viral recipe, but this one looked too fun and delicious to ignore so I finally gave it a try last week. Of course, I had to add my own Pakistani spin to it, so I created a beef tikka version of the viral Doner Kebab recipe that everyone seems obsessed with right now. And honestly? It was totally worth it. The best part is how effortless it is: no standing by the stove, no complicated steps, just mix everything, bake, and you’re done. It comes together in minutes, the texture turns out incredible, and the flavour is pure comfort. My kids devoured it, I enjoyed the whole process, and I’m pretty sure this is going into our weekly meal rotation because it’s just that easy and that good.
P.S: This brilliant homemade Turkish Doner Kebab hack was originally shared by Meze Mike, and it quickly went viral thanks to its unique preparation method and surprisingly impressive final result.

Hearty Chicken Manchurian – Authentic and Easy Desi Chinese
Even though Chicken Manchurian is considered a “Chinese dish” in Pakistan, I’ve always had my doubts about its true authenticity. Let’s be real, this is proudly Desi Chinese, and we love it just the way it is. You can take a Pakistani out of Pakistan, but you can’t take away their love for bold flavours, comfort food, and nostalgic favourites. There are moments when we deeply miss the flavours we grew up with, and this Chicken Manchurian recipe was born out of one of those late-evening cravings. It’s simple, easy, hearty, and hits the spot every single time – perfect for anyone looking for a fool-proof, flavour-packed Pakistani Chicken Manchurian that tastes just like home.

Last Saturday, we had the final session of the Student Leadership Programme for E. Before leaving, I quickly placed chicken breasts on the counter to thaw, planning an early dinner when we returned. But after the session, I came home with absolutely zero motivation to cook. HI walked in after his match asking, “What’s for dinner?” The kids were hungry too, and even though I didn’t feel like cooking, I wasn’t keen on a takeaway either.
So, I stepped into the kitchen telling myself I’d just whip up a quick batch of kababs. But that simple start soon rolled into a full dum kabab dinner with fresh roti — the kind of hearty, comfort meal that makes all the effort worth it. Sometimes all it takes is that first step; once momentum kicks in, you actually start enjoying the process. I used chicken that day, but this easy dum kabab recipe works perfectly with beef mince as well and can be adapted into a delicious kabab karahi too.

Shinwari Karahi – 6 ingredients stellar (heart) stealing dish
I’ve been meaning to share this recipe since ages now. The last time I tried taking pictures in the camera, it turned out that the memory card was absent and all the pictures I took were just a mirage (obviously HI was responsible for it, haha). I’ve been making this shinwari karahi a lot ever since I’ve tried the recipe ( it’s now a must item in my dinner and lunch parties) but we always end up eating it before i can take pictures for the blog. So, this time I made sure that the pictures are shot before the consumption because there are absolutely no leftovers from the karahi. Yes, it turns out that scrumptious! No joke

BBQ Honey Wings
Adding to ‘Bites‘ section the easiest, quickest and most wanted recipe of all. I experimented these wings directly in the production environment ( i.e. in my Pizza parties- I have talked about one with a picture posted on Facebook and Instagram) without running them through a test one (which corresponds to testing out a dish at home before finalizing it as a menu item for any party). I was so sure that this is gonna be a hit (actually I think the same for every recipe I try… lol) and believe it or not this one did turn out to be THE HIT item on the table in the parties every single time. Which stimulated the huge demand for the said recipe and that is the reason I am uploading this before all the others which are waiting in the pipeline to be shared.
