Travel over Auckland CBD on foot and get fascinated by city life – this was our plan of the day. We set out to achieve our target of the day after having scrumptious breakfast Ray had prepared for us. Perks of staying at friends’ – you don’t need to worry about the food hence I am unable to recommend any restaurants or food places too but I will cover some in today’s post.
HI called our ride from uber that picked us up right at the doorstep and we headed towards Eden Gardens – a serene and peaceful sanctuary situated on Mount Eden. To get more information about the garden’s entry ticket and everything else please check out the link because we did not spend much time over there, I wanted to but we were running short of time, as always! *eyes roll*

We called another uber ride which took us to the CBD (Central Business District) where we walked alongside busy roads, traversed the crowded streets and absorbed the city’s lifestyle; check pictures below.

Below is the video of sea plane cruising over water at North Wharf. Look out for the moment when pilot waves back to E, that was so nice of him 🙂

If you are an art lover than you can check out Auckland Art Gallery at Kitchener Street beside Albert Park. People recommended us Victoria Park too but we called it a day at 7 pm and took the train back home as some more friends were coming to join us for dinner. You can have a look at the itineraries they propose in their map for a complete list of To-Dos based on your preference.

Daylight lingers till 8:30 pm there and we were having our dinner around dusk which looked so weird but that is how life rolls in that part of the world. Ray had cooked finger licking Lamb Roast with rice and pizzas, we ended up overeating – our dilemma forever that is. I regret not taking pictures of the food she served 😦
Nevertheless, we had a pleasant day checking out Auckland’s CBD and some of the main attractions. Hope you enjoyed exploring the city through my lens and it helps in chalking out your plan if you are looking to visit Auckland soon. Check out what we did on our last day at the major city before flying to the South island in the upcoming post of the series. Stay tuned 🙂
